It all started with a pocket page filler card I found in the "Chasing Rainbows" Pocket Kit. Inspiration hit and I knew I wanted to create with this color scheme/idea.
This pocket page came together in a heartbeat. I pulled my favourite Super Duper pocket cards included in the "Chasing Rainbows" Pocket Kit and added a few elements from Heidi Swapp's Color Fresh collection also included in the kit and boom! Done!
Oh! And see how I placed my photos? The ones I used where we were looking up were placed at the bottom of the page and the one where my daughter was looking straight into the camera in the middle. Why wasn't the photo in which my husband and son are looking down placed in the top row? Well, the scenery you see was shot at 6:37 AM - it was a new day and a new routine had begun. Placed in the upper right corner, I felt it started the flow of the page in the right direction.
I asked my five-year old daughter, "What does this remind you of?" She promptly replied, "Summer!" And that's all it took. The Becky Higgins Super Duper collection was a perfect match with the Heidi Swapp Color Fresh and DCWV Sweet & Sassy patterned papers found in the Scrapbook and Pocket Kits. I sprinkled a few Vicki Boutin Color Kaleidoscope embellishments included in the kits to highlight particular colors found in the patterned papers. And just like that, week 28 of 2018 is done! YAY!
Oh! And do you see the inspiration piece in my layout? I fussy cut the flowers from that card and an ice cream bowl from another card and created this floral centerpiece. It totally ties the layout and pocket page together!
